Aeon Korr

THIS CONTENT IS OUT OF DATE

Aeon Korr is the eldest son of Titus Korr, Lord Corvus and head of the House of Korr, one of the Twelve Great Houses of Tion. His father happens to also be the CEO of Titanworks, Ltd, a major arms manufacturer based in the Star Kingdom of Tion. Aeon is the second son of Titus, and thus the heir apparent is his elder brother Aden Korr, an eccentric genius as gifted in engineering and design as he isn't in diplomacy and finesse. Aeon, as talented as his father in the latter, broke with his family on ideological lines and pursued a career in the Royal Marines, earning the rank of Major before being cashiered due to conduct unbecoming a Queen's Officer.

An idealist in a family of pragmatists, Aeon rebelled against his father's ruthless capitalist ways, inspired instead by tales of his ancestor's noble deeds across the near-millennium of the Star Kingdom's history. He sought--and achieved--knighthood in the Order of the Crescent prior to his military commission, and seemed to be on the fast track to generalship before the incident.

In 898 GST, Aeon participated in a number of duels, which, while legal under the Star Kingdom's laws, cast aspersions on his honor and fitness as a Queen's officer. His challenges seemed manufactured, taking offense at trifling slights by seeming strangers, and yet killing each opponent, never opting for the more humane (and common) choice of "first blood". After slaying three people, the Marines began an investigation, during which he was involved in three more duels, the results of which were not factored into his court martial. They would have only made things worse.

The court was sharply divided on charges of murder, as in one case the duel was against another Marine officer, and did not find him guilty thereof. However, they were unanimous in their verdict of Conduct Unbecoming a Queen's Officer. He was stripped of his rank and honors and ejected from service.

Subsequently, he went into self-imposed exile in the DMZ, emphatically rejecting invitations from his father to resume his proper path as an aide and eventually successor in his corporate endeavors. In the years since, he has earned a reputation as a mercenary, and as a professional duelist. He has a number of misdemeanors on his record, but despite suspicion, lacks any felony charges from the Foundation. His known association with many individuals who certainly have such charges does not help his reputation back home, but is not a crime in and of itself.
